SYNOPSIS
Kasumi Saitama is one of the youngest starting members of the Japanese Olympian Team. At first it was a dream-come true, especially when she had prepared for this since she was just a year old. And when that dream became a reality, she felt like the luckiest girl in the entire world. Unfortunately, feelings such as those never last a lifetime. It has been thirteen years since the moment she became the top swimmer of the Japanese Olympians, specializing in long-stride races.
Such recognized accomplishments should be appreciated, though to Kasumi, she wishes she had never received them. She feels they are an insult to her true abilities. She had always followed the training regimen outlined by her mother, always staying in line and keeping precise forms. She was never given the chance to find out her own, natural strengths.
But that was then.
This is now.
The Summer Olympics ended with a bang, meaning that Kasumi would finally able to take a break from that life—a break that was sixteen years overdue. Deciding not to return to her luxurious home in Tokyo, Kasumi travels to Iwatobi Town, to sign up at Iwatobi High School for a bit of an education. After all, she only wanted a normal life. And that shouldn’t be too much to ask for… right?
